Extension Manager
Extension Manager brings browser extension controls together: enable or disable extensions manually, operate groups in bulk, or automate them with URL, profile, operating system and time conditions.
These guides follow the current source code. Store releases may not yet include every UI change shown here. Screenshots show the current interface with fictional demo data.
Install and openβ

Microsoft Edge Add-onsAfter installation, open Extension Manager from your browser's extensions menu. You can pin it to the toolbar using that browser menu. The gear button in the popup opens the dashboard, with settings, profiles, groups, extension management, rules and history.
Start with a simple taskβ
- Find an extension in the popup and toggle its enabled state.
- Create a Work group under Groups and add extensions. The group name filters the view; its separate switch controls the extensions.
- Add a rule when you need automation, such as enabling a reading tool on a reading website.
- Add profiles for contexts such as Work or Study, then configure rules to match them.

Permissions and data useβ
The extension declares three permissions. It does not declare the history permission or website host permissions.

Your browser may describe tabs access as reading browsing history. This extension uses information about open tabs;
it does not use chrome.history to read the browser's history. Rule matching runs locally.
The extension's own History page records extension installations, updates and state changes.
Usage analyticsβ
The extension uses Google Analytics to record popup/dashboard visits, feature interactions and some configuration data. Usage analytics does not upload the URLs or contents of websites you browse, or your browsing history.

Questions and feedbackβ
Can it open any extension's toolbar popup?β
No. Enabling an extension or opening its settings/homepage is different from opening its toolbar popup. Pinning other extensions to the toolbar must also be done in the browser's own interface.
Does importing a list install every extension automatically?β
No. Importing organizes the list, identifies installed items and opens store pages. Installation still requires confirmation in the store. It does not transfer other extensions' internal settings or data.
How do I report a problem?β
Open a GitHub issue with your browser version, extension version, reproduction steps and expected behavior. For rule-related issues, you can attach configuration after removing private URLs and sensitive information. Do not include credentials, personal browsing history or a complete browser profile.
